Remaking A Living

remaking a living

Remaking A Living is one of Community Opportunity Innovation Network’s (COIN) current projects! It’s an eye opener and explores for ideas that could improve the lives of people experiencing long-term unemployment.

This project’s approach is unique ! Visit:Remaking A Living

This is the story of a six-month-long project about getting to know people on the margins of the economy, in Peterborough, Ontario. We asked them to help us design better approaches for services, programs, and networks in which people can flourish.

2nd Annual Newcomer Entrepreneur of the Year Award
In 2015, the New Canadians Centre established the Newcomer Entrepreneur of the Year Award with the generous support of the Peterborough Community Futures Development Corporation in order to recognize the achievements of business leadership and community involvement made by newcomers within the Peterborough community. We are happy to announce that we will be presenting this award again in 2016 to a noteworthy newcomer entrepreneur in the Peterborough area. Please consider nominating a newcomer entrepreneur (self-nomination is also encouraged).  Three finalists will be invited to the gala event with one newcomer entrepreneur receiving the distinguished award as ‘Newcomer Entrepreneur of the Year’.
