The second talk in Kawartha Land Trust and Trent University’s speaker series, A Sense of Place: Perspectives on Relationship to Land and Water in the Kawarthas, will feature Rick Beaver, Research and Restoration Coordinator at Alderville First Nation’s Black Oak Savanna.

The evening’s talk will examine the work of Alderville First Nation in its research, preservation and management of natural resources, in light of recent recognition for excellence by the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and the North American Pollinator Partnership. Find out how this recognition was earned through partnerships with educators, researchers, managers and community to benefit our cultural and natural heritage.
